How to create/edit listing types
Learn how to edit or create new listing types for user roles in Tangram.
At A Glance
- Navigate to Listing Type Editor in your Tangram admin account
- Click "+ New" to create a new listing type or "Edit" next to an existing one
Navigate to the Listing Type Editor in Tangram
First you will want to login to your admin account on Tangram. Make sure you don't have any other Ttabs open where you are logged into another type of Tangram account (e.g. a customer or vendor account ). Once you are logged in you can get to the listing type editor page by navigating to "Settings" > "Roles" > "Manage" for the role with the listing type you want to edit or add to > "Listing Types"
How to Create a New Listing Type in Tangram
In order to edit an existing listing type for a user role navigate to "Settings" > "Roles" > "Manage" for the user role that can create this type of listing > "+ New".
Give your new listing type a name (e.g. Tutoring Sessions) and select a which listing type template you would like to use for it (e.g. Services). By choosing the services listing type template it will come with default settings like and scheduler where customers can request a date/time for their appointment with you. You can tweak the settings for your listing type later if the default ones that come with the template you selected don't make perfect sense for the type of listing you want your user to be able to create.


How to Edit an Existing Listing Type in Tangram
In order to edit an existing listing type for a user role navigate to "Settings" > "Roles" > "Manage" for the user role that can create this type of listing > "Edit" the listing type you want to edit

To edit things like the name of the listing type and the default photo if none are added by the listing creator click the "Basic Details" card.
To edit what listing details need to be collected in regard to a listing from the listing creator click the "Inputs" card.
For more advanced settings to do with scheduling, monetization, etc. click "Advanced Settings".
